AZTECA Wedding Plaza Family Heads to Retirement

AZTECA Wedding Plaza has been a cornerstone of downtown Phoenix for more than 70 years, caring for the wedding and special occasion needs of families. The location at 10th Street and Washington has been a destination to realize the dreams of couples as they began their wedding journey. Now, after decades of service, the Torrez family has decided to wind down operations and focus on family in retirement.

Founded by Adolfo and Kay Torrez, AZTECA has been at its current location since 1950. The children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of Adolfo and Kay have kept the family business thriving over the decades. The business will be open until its final day of operation on November 30th, 2023.

Family has been at the center of everything we have done at AZTECA. For generations our family has been proud to serve other families in this community with all of their special moments. To be part of those memorable occasions and serve Arizona families was the motivation for our founders and remained our goal for all these years.

Now, as a family, we’ve determined it is time to retire after we complete our commitments to our current customers. Reaching this conclusion has not been easy and our decision was fueled by one factor.
